The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently announced that they were issuing emergency use approval for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. In stage 3 clinical trials, one dose of the vaccine was 85% protective against the most severe cases of COVID-19. This is now the third COVID-19 vaccine available in the United States. Shipments to states will begin over the coming days.
